Deep in the southern regions of Kalimdor lies the vast wasteland of Silithus.
Beyond its more notable infestation of bugs
and old gods is the proliferation of Twilight
Cultists who work their dark magics to commune
with the Abyssal Council: a mysterious collection
of elementals that have no tolerance for most
mortals and cannot abide being interrupted.
The Twilight Cultists commune with their elemental leaders through the use of Windstones that can be found in their camp. Each of the three Twilight Camps, spread out through the expanse of Silithus, have two lesser windstones, one regular windstone and one greater windstone. Touching these windstones without the appropriate attire will invoke the wrath of the elemental held within and cause a force of energy to rain down on the infidel.
Each windstone requires a set of Twilight Cultist gear to be worn by the player interacting with the stone. When the appropriate attire is worn, it is possible to touch the stone as if it were a player to communicate with. From within the voice of the elemental can be read calling out to the player. A gossip text bubble is listed to call forth the elemental within to face the wrath of the challenging player.
Lesser Windstones are used to communicate with the Abyssal Templars. Interacting with the Lesser Windstone requires a [Twilight Cultist Mantle], [Twilight Cultist Robe], and [Twilight Cultist Cowl] to avoid shocking. These items drop off of the Twilight Cultists in each of the camps. Using the gossip text will summon forth a random level 60 elite elemental of either water, wind, stone, or fire type (referred to as Azure, Hoary, Earthen, and Crimson Templars respectively). Defeating these templars will always yield one [Abyssal Crest], and have better than average loot beyond that.
If a player has a [Crest of Beckoning: (elemental
type)] in their inventory when
interacting with the lesser windstone, the added
gossip text to summon an elemental of that specific
type should be offered.

Through a series of quests based out of Cenarion Hold that you can acquire once friendly with the Cenarion Circle, you can trade in three Abyssal Crests and one Large Brilliant Shard for a [Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station].
Regular Windstones are used to communicate with the Abyssal Duke. Interacting with the Windstone requires a [Twilight Cultist Mantle], [Twilight Cultist Robe], [Twilight Cultist Cowl], and a [Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station] to avoid shocking. Using the gossip text will summon forth a random level 62 elite elemental of either water, wind, stone, or fire type (referred to as Duke of Fathoms, Zephyrs, Shards, and Cinders respectively). Defeating these dukes will always yield one Abyssal Signet, and have very good loot beyond that.
If a player has a [Signet of Beckoning: (elemental
type)] in their inventory when interacting with the windstone, the added gossip text to summon an elemental of that specific type should be offered.
Through a series of quests based out of Cenarion Hold that you can acquire once revered with the Cenarion Circle, you can trade in three Abyssal Signets and five Large Brilliant Shards for a [Twilight Cultist Ring of Lordship].
Greater Windstones are used to communicate
with the Abyssal Princes. Interacting with the
Greater Windstone requires a [Twilight
Cultist Mantle], [Twilight
Cultist Robe], [Twilight
Cultist Cowl], [Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station], and a [Twilight Cultist Ring of Lordship]
to avoid shocking. Using the gossip text will
summon forth a random Raid boss Lord
Skwol (water), Baron Kazum
(earth), High marshal Whirlaxis
(air), Prince Skaldrenox (fire).
Defeating these princes frequently provides
epic loot.
If a player has a [Scepter of Beckoning: (elemental
type)] in their inventory when interacting with the greater windstone, the added gossip text to summon an elemental of that specific type should be offered.
